Tips for a Healthy Morning Routine

Hydrate

First thing when you wake up in the morning hydrate with fresh lemon water(room temp.), you can also warm the water into a lemon water tea. Lemon water is going to help detoxify and re-hydrate the body. Great way to get your digestion kick-started for the day!

 

No Cell Phone Zone

Right when you wake up let yourself ease into the morning. Allow yourself time to not look at your phone, go on social media, or call anyone. This is going to help you stay in the moment, calm and clear your mind. It isn’t healthy for our eyes or our mental health to be constantly looking at our phone, especially if we make it a habit to stay on our phone while still in bed, just beginning to awaken.

 

Breathe

Set aside 5, 15, 30 minutes out of your morning to sit and breath, you can do breathing exercises, practicing full belly breathing. This will help you calm your mind, and prepare you for the day ahead in a peaceful, positive manner.

Get Active

Move your body! Sweat!

 

Nourish Your Body

Feed your body fuel to get your day started! Fuel that is going to nourish every tissue and cell of the body so you can feel good, have lots of energy and stay clear minded.

 

Go Outside

If you can, take a walk before you go to work, school, or run errands. Many of us can get stuck in the routine of our daily lives, never making time to actually get out o the sunshine! (If you go to work before the sun comes up, take a walk on your lunch or after work)

 

Plan to Succeed

Plan out the day ahead of you. Set goals for yourself with the things you know you need to get done. Prioritize your time wisely, and don’t forget to [plan time for yourself, or doing something you love like spending time with your family!
